Butler High School will hold its seventh Career Fair on Friday, December 2, 2022. The event will begin at 7:55 a.m. and will conclude around 11:10 and include all Butler students from grades six through twelve.
Students were asked to rank and identify their current top career choices from a range of over fifty careers. They will attend four sessions of different careers that they are interested in.
During each forty-five minute session, the presenters will inform a group of approximately twenty students about their tasks, responsibilities, and characteristics of their specific career. Necessary working conditions, training and education, demand for the job, beginning salaries, range of salaries, and related occupations will also be discussed. Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions of the presenter regarding their career. Each student will be expected to record specific information learned at each of their four career sessions to use in a follow-up writing activity, as well as in further career and educational planning.
