After getting off to a rough start and dropping the first two sets, the Lady Bears battled back to take the next 3 straight sets and get the 3-2 win over Skyline. They will play for the district championship on Monday at 6:00 in Lamar against Adrian. If you can make the trip, come support these girls!

Mark your calendars — Junior High Basketball and Wrestling (Boys & Girls) and High School Basketball and Wrestling (Boys & Girls) are gearing up for an exciting season!

The Winter Sports Schedule is out now! (JH Boys & Girls Basketball schedules will be released early next week as we finalize a few remaining games.) Don’t miss a game — it’s going to be an action-packed winter!

📅 First Junior High Basketball Tournament:
November 3rd–6th — Butler Junior High Basketball Tournament
Both boys and girls teams will play all four nights!

We will not be holding a Winter Parent Meeting this year, as the information from the Fall Parent Meeting remains the same. However, coaches may choose to hold their own team meetings if they feel it’s necessary.

Below is the key information for your reference and review:

Physicals & Documentation:
Any student who did not participate in a fall sport must have a current physical and all required annual MSHSAA documentation on file before they can practice.
These forms are available in the High School Office.

Practice Start Dates:

Middle School Sports: Practices are already underway.

High School Sports:

Girls & Boys Basketball — Begin November 3

Girls Wrestling — Begins November 3

Boys Wrestling — Begins November 10

Retake Picture Day is next Wednesday, 10/29/25! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required. If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook. Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken.
